Skiing down Danny On run with Lake McDonald and the Continental Divide visible across the valley is one of the great ski moments in Montana.

The town of Whitefish is 8 miles from the mountain and has a charming small-town Northwest feel - microbreweries, good restaurants, a real community. Glacier National Park is closed to vehicle traffic in winter but accessible for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
